The site is located 400m from the Cyrville transit station and has been pre-defined to increase in density through the City’s Secondary Plan. As part of this intensification initiative, the City’s medium to long-term plan is to make this area more pedestrian friendly by adding bicycle paths and wider sidewalks. The intent of the new official plan is to also make the areas closest to transit more vibrant and usable by allowing a mix of businesses and residential use buildings along the main street. In the future, Cyrville will look very different than it is today.
